    Legend of the Seas

    Hi everyone.
I have booked a cruise on Legend of the Seas departing Southampton July 2005. I have just read some truly DREADFUL reviews of this ship, criticizing just about every aspect including food, staterooms, cleanliness, staff attitudes.
I believe that the ship has recently been refurbished to suit 'British' tastes (whatever that means)
    Can anyone reassure me?

    Welcome to CLF.

I have never been on this ship myself but remember everybody has their own opinion. I'm sure others here have been on her.

First thing to take on a cruise, is a great attitude!! Things happen!! Don't let negative reviews worry you. I love cruising, and I find if I am friendly to the crew, thay are friendly with me, and remember me. I know, somewhere I can find something to eat when I am hungry, I don't care if my bed is made, I know I can find a couple of towels, and I can easily get through the week, cause I didn't have to do any work, and cruising is cheaper than a land vacation. There is no way, anything can ruin my cruise!!!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Thank you Rex. I appreciate your comments.
The problem is that whilst accepting that we all have our individual opinions,at least 90% of the reviews of this ship have been very critical.
Are there any positive comments out there to reassure me?

This my friend, is excellant advise.. I heard all kinds of trash about Carnival Cruise Line, but took a chance and went... Turned out to be one of the best cruises we've ever been on...

I just went and found two reviews online and both were quite positive...

Welcome on board and we would love for you to ask any questions, share any concerns, and also tell us about those past cruise and what they were like for you!

I haven't been on the Legend.........but have been on the Enchantment, Rhapsody and Splendour.....all Vision Class ships........we love those ships and have the vision of the seas booked in October...........all Vision Class ships are basically the same and will answer any questions you might have.

    Los 11/97

I sailed on her back in 97 and found the only thing i could comment on that she creaked. everything else was superb and we sailed her on a Hawaii San Diego repo. I found her charming, clean and well maintained. sorry i'm about 8 years too late lol.. but i tend to dismiss about 75 percent of reviews unless its perpetuated over 10-15 different reviews. I'd sail her again in a minute.. Happy Sailing
