New but have cruised 10 times previously the most recent in May for my daughters 21st,
Thomson Dream to the Med, Will be crusing on Celebrity Silhouette for Christmas and dying to hear anyones thoughts about this ship and also experiences in the coming months.
Should I take out a drinks package??? what type if yes.

I’m sure most of your questions will be answered, and we are pleased you are on the new Celebrity Silhouette. Many members have sailed on Celebrity ships.

Celebrity Silhouette is still on her maiden voyage to Civitavecchia from Hamburg where she is sailing from till the end of October when she heads for Cape Liberty. So we presume you are doing an Eastern Caribbean Cruise

Hey Barb! Welcome to our friendly cruise community!

Celebrity is our favorite cruiseline! We have sailed on the Silhouette's sister ships Solstice, Equinox and Eclipse and love them...I'm sure you will enjoy your holiday cruises.

We have never bought any of the drink packages, so I can't make any recommendations. I suggest that you figure up how much you are likely to spend on beverages per day and compare that with the daily cost of the packages you are considering.

Hi Barb!

My wife and I get the soda and water drink packages on the ship, but the alcohol packages are way to expensive for the amount of drinking we don't do.

Can you go back to your last cruise print outs? If so, you can see how much you drank and you can run the numbers. We did so for the soda and water packages and actually found out that we came out ahead.
