Thread: Hi, new member to site!

SO VERY SORRY ALL, NOT NEW TO THE SITE. NEW TO HAWAII... SOOO SRY Hello, my name is Donna and I want to go to Hawaii. My husband, myself, and 14 year old son. We want to go between Sept/ Dec., 2011 this year. I want at least 12 days, however, I really want 14/15 days. I want to leave from maybe California. We have never been to Hawaii. I have no idea on what ship or when the most reasonable time to cruise is. I have been looking, but can't find this information.

I need any and all information and thoughts on this. I went to another site 2 weeks ago and got NO response. Hope this site isn't like that.... I thought this is how we find information on cruising and about the options, good and bad, peoples thoughts. I am not asking anyone to plan my cruise, just give me your thoughts and experience... Very nervous!! Thanks in advance... Donna

OMG, this all sounds so wonderful, even with the flaws. I so want to go, just need to decide what is a good deal for what ship, and a hotel for the day before and the day after. Just to make sure we arrive on time. Thank you so much for your reply...

IMHO, you might still get a good deal for Nov or Dec of this year if you aren't particular about what type of cabin you want on the ships.

The people going are using the same travel agent. He is also going. His name is Reggie and he also posts on this roll call. He may still have some good cabins left, not sure.

There are some wonderful ships going to Hawaii with Holland America, Celebrity, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. Of these, you'll find HAL, Celebrity, and Princess to be the nicest. But it really depends on what you're looking for. Any of the longer cruises are going to find an older crowd - young folks don't seem to like all those days at sea.

Best advice is to contact a reputable Cruise Specialist so they can help you find the right cruise for you based on your lifestyle and budget. What one person loves, another will hate, so it's important to consider them all.

We're leaving for Hawaii on Tuesday for 3 weeks, including a one-week cruise on the NCL Pride of America. So in a few weeks we'll be able to tell you all about this particular cruise. Not quite as nice as the other three I mentioned, but it provides us an opportunity to spend more time in the islands before and after the cruise.
