I think I could be called a Cruise fanatic, not just a fan!

I think it is the best holiday ever. Nothing else can beat the excitement as you drive towards the port and see your glistening white leviathan of the seas in the distance, nothing is more exciting than walking across from the terminal and into the heart of a beautiful ship, and absolutely nothing can better a glorious sunset over the stern of the ship with the water frothing below as you sail away from land.

Don't get me started, the list just goes on and on.......

We have been cruising for years, my first cruise was with my parents as a teenager and I have never stopped my love affair with cruise ships. My husband of 39 years and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on board Grand Princess, and we renewed our vows at the same time. It was a day to remember, utter magic and perfect from start to finish. We felt like a young bride and groom.

My own children adore cruising too, and my daughter took a degree and ended up as an officer on board a P and O cruise ship for 18 months - a very very hard job!

I am counting the days until our cruise on Oasis of the Seas.

I am really enjoying this site and look forward to posting a report after our cruise on Oasis.

I do have a question, please. How do you get the little ships that appear below some people's names (eg Freakcruiser) and what does it mean when people are Guides or Stewards?
