Would like to work on a cruise ship

I have been a designer for many years now and would like to take a departure from design for a while and work on a cruise ship. I am very good with caring for people and their many needs. I am detail orientated and understand what brings comfort to people traveling. I just need to know when I apply for a position, which position would best fit me. I understand the hard work involved and that does not phase me at all. I would like to travel internationally meeting new people and great new friendships along the way.
Can anyone give me some guidance here? I would appreciate any comments.
    Thank you,
    Marc from Miami

    Welcome, Marc

We actually have a special section of the Forum for exactly that sort of information, at Cruise Employees

I work as a part-time speaker (naturalist or Destination Speaker), and it's a pretty fine life. Good luck finding the right fit!

You can check the cruise employees area here on CLF (the link's in explorenorth's post). If you have some idea of what you want to do, you can check out the various websites for the different cruiselines (many have info about applying for jobs with them and what the requirements are).

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

A bad day at sea is better than a good day at work.
