If you're talking about missing a hurricane, and not sure where your ship is headed, you may want to make sure you pack a sweater and at least a pair of long pants.

BTW, which ship. Maybe someone will be able to track down the changes in itinerary.

Hi Shaanon, are you sailing on the NCL Spirit? If so, the following was on their website....

    Weather Alert
Tropical Storm Update (12:30 pm EST - 09/16/2010)

    Updated September 16, 2010 at 12:30 p.m.

At Norwegian Cruise Line, the safety and security of our guests and crew is of the utmost importance. Therefore, the company is closely monitoring the paths of Hurricane Igor, Hurricane Julia and Tropical Storm Karl.

At this time, all ships will depart their respective homeports according to the published schedule. However, Hurricane Igor is forecasted to pass over the island of Bermuda this weekend, possibly affecting the itinerary of Norwegian Spirit's September 17 cruise. The ship will depart Boston as scheduled on Friday, September 17. Guests will be notified upon embarkation if there are any necessary itinerary changes.

As soon as there are updates, we will update NCL.com and notify our guests.

You are going to like it here at CLF!!

This has happened in the past -- NCL was sent to Canada/New England.

Have sweaters, jackets and a couple of pairs of long pants packed.

Shaanon, here is an update from the NCL website. Looks like you'll still need the summer clothes

    Weather Alert
    Hurricane Update (9:30 AM EST - 09/17/2010)

Updated September 17, 2010 at 9:30 AM EST

At Norwegian Cruise Line, the safety and security of our guests and crew is of the utmost importance. Therefore, the company is closely monitoring the paths of Hurricane Igor, Hurricane Julia and Hurricane Karl.

As Hurricane Igor is forecasted to pass over the island of Bermuda this weekend, Norwegian Spirit’s itinerary has changed. The ship will now sail to Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida and Nassau, Bahamas. The ship will depart Boston today as scheduled at 4 p.m. and spend two days at sea before it arrives in Orlando on Monday, September 20 and then to Nassau on Tuesday, September 21.

All other Norwegian ships will depart their respective homeports according to the published schedule.

Any further updates will be posted to ncl.com.
