    An Apology (of sorts)

I have had several requests from members to be "A Friend". I am writing this because one either gets the option to confirm or reject these requests. There is no other option.

So I would like to say at this stage that although I am flattered to be asked I don't feel that I currently want to advance into that field but I have no way of saying sorry or stating a reason.

So to all who may feel rejected or rebutted please allow that at this stage I am enjoying the occasional visits here but that is what suits me at the moment. Thank you for asking though.

    X Lucy

    Hey Lucy

The "friend" requests are all part of the new system we have here at the new cruiselinefans. Some members enjoy being part of the community and being a Friend allows private messaging between members.....and it also gives you more points on the point system that will eventually lead to some nice little perks.

However, no one is compelled to accept friendship with another member. That is totally up to you...we want all our members to feel welcome and to participate at their own comfort level. Just don't do anything at all with your requests. There might come a time when you will want to participate at that level and they will be there for you.

There is no need to apologize!

I wouldn't worry about it. I think I have some outstanding friends' requests, but I've been doing a lot of multi-surfing the last couple of weeks (was planning a birthday party for my daughter, taking an online traffic school -- got a photo ticket for going over a limit line, ouch, and some other things) and also haven't been able to be online all that much as it's been too warm in our house to use the computer as much as I like. So, I'm sure one day I'll check that area and click away. More important to me is being able to help answer questions, so that's been my first priority.

If you feel uncomfortable, don't worry about it. Just as long as you join in any discussions you want to or ask/answer questions of interest to you. That's the important thing.

That isn't a problem, getting enjoyment out of the site is the most important. I have found everyone to be helpful and friendly since I joined.

I have just retired and thought I would be able to spend a bit of time here. However, I didn't expect that my life was about to get more busy than it ever was when I was working. Hence I only pop in now and again

    Welcome
