I just posted a on another intro thread, but I'll welcome you here too.

Please check with your supervisor, when you start working for Princess, before posting as we won't want you to get in trouble (sometimes the cruiselines don't like their employees to post on cruising sites). But if they do let you, we would love to have that insight into what it's like when you finally get onboard.

Don't know much about the new ships other than the size. I live about 30 miles by freeway (much closer if I was a bird who can just fly over the mountain) from Princess HQs and I understand they have drawings of their new ships on display. But I'm guessing one just can't walk in there to see them.

I would guess there will be more info as time goes by. Maybe photographers will be allowed on the shipbuilding grounds to document the building.

thanks for the welcome cruisin chick. Yer in my welcome pack from princess it states that cadets should refrain from blogging. So I am going to be careful with what I write, just so long as i am not portraying the company negatively or releasing important information, i see no harm in discussing their ships and trying to find out bits about them.

You really live that close!! they better let some info out soon, still, its early days yet.

heres the latest info i found at New Princess Ships « The Cruise People, Ltd. (Canada)

Extract by Mark Tre: "One source, however, has speculated on Royal Princess and Regal Princess as possible names to be chosen. The first Royal Princess was a trend-setter as the first ship to have so many balconies and the second is about to be transferred to affiliate P&O, while Regal Princess was one of the Renzo Piano-designed pair that were originally ordered by Sitmar but delivered to Princess, and has sailed as Pacific Dawn for P&O Australia since 2007"

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

A bad day at sea is better than a good day at work.
