Welcome to CLF, samelliott! I think you came to the right place - we have many ship enthusiasts, as well as the regular people who are strictly vacationers.

If you like the Olympic class ships, I hope you have or will have a chance to see the shipyard where they were built in Belfast. The building berths used for the ships are still there, and they are looking at building a Titanic hotel there as well. This will be part of the revitalization of the harbor area, and they plan to call the area around the old shipyard the Titanic Quarter. We were there during a cruise 2 years ago, and we got to see the one of the 1st class tenders used to bring people to one of the Titanic's sister ships, which is still kept there.

If the ship goes where you want to go when you want to go, then go.

Speaking of ocean liners, I am heading to the Queen Mary in Long Beach California tomorrow. I will be with a lot of family in 2 suites. It is an awesome place to see the fireworks in Long Beach harbor. Except for me, no one else in my family has ever been on the Queen Mary. I have spent quite a few nights on board and am always excited to explore this beautiful ship.

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

A bad day at sea is better than a good day at work.
