    Hooked on cruising

    Hi all,

    Looking forward to checking out a new cruise site!

    I started cruising in 2002 and have been hooked ever since. Favorite islands: Grand Cayman; so clean. Loved the stingray excursion. Saint Lucia: also known as Paradise. We did a private tour with Cosol, which I believe (along with quite a few others) is the ONLY way to see the island.

    Looking forward to my next cruise in December.

    One of our favorite memories is on a Princess cruise where we were supposed to visit Grand Cayman, but the weather was not cooperating. Our captain decided to try the other side of the island, and we anchored off-shore and they tendered in for those excursions that were still operating. Ours was not, but we noticed a little beach just about half a mile to the right of the small dock the tenders were going to ...

    We tendered ashore with our snorkeling gear and asked one of the policemen if the beach down the road was public; they graciously gave us directions (you walk through a cemetery to get there!) and off we went. It was actually one of the better days snorkeling that we had, we met some great Brits who were staying there with their son (who can handle our finances if we ever hit it big in the lottery), and we didn't spend a dime!
