Hi, I am new to this site. I found it while researching our cruise to Eastern Caribbean. On Dec. 7 we will sail out of Tampa on Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas for 10 days to San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. John's and Tortola. My first concern is which of these are the best places to snorkel since we wil probably not snorkel all of them and want to pick the best. Secondly, which land excursions are particularly good that others can suggest. Four of these ports we will be in for 8 hours or more.

Any suggestions would be great.

Other cruises we have been on are the NCL Norwegian Sun to Alaska Inside Passage out of Vancouver BC. What a great trip!! Recommend it (and have) to anyone that would listen. The second was on NCL Norwegian Star to Mexican Rivera. A few not serious problems here. The Sun was a much more fun and more pleasant crew than the Star.

Welcome aboard. I know St John's and St Maarten are good for snorkelling. I'd pick St John's as the best.
The St Maarten Island Tour is good, the Rainforest Tour in Puerto Rico and Old San Juan City Tour is good.

I agree with the rainforest tour in San Juan and snorkling in St. Thomas. How did you manage to get so much time in Puerto Rico? Most of the time the ships pull in late and the only real tours are the late afternoon and night ones.

I agree with MD11F on St. John's being the best snorkeling of your ports listed, we were just there a couple weeks ago and it was the best snorkeling

There are several snorkeling locations listed for both islands, do you have a favorite on St. John's or St. Maarten??
