I'm not an NCL Expert but I have cruised with them twice. NCL is offering you just what you're looking for, Freestyle Cruising and Dining. You will have so many choices and along with that comes dressy or not. For those Folks that enjoying the more dressy approach you will still see them. But for many that prefer the casual approach NCL is for you. My DH and I enjoyed both cruises. The food was great, the service awesome and we were able to fit evening dining to our preference. I find it OK to cruise and be casual at the same time. As you can imagine some folks will take casual too far and that's when the negative comments are justified. Go, enjoy and we'll all look forward to hearing all about it!!

Please feel free to ask any questions you have. It sounds like you did pick the right cruiseline for you, and there are many people here who will be familiar with your ship. I have to admit I'm like Stephen (Lanky Lad) and get a kick out of the traditional way of cruising (even though hubby just wears a suit on formal nights...I get to wear the outfits that I don't have an occasion to wear otherwise).

. can't help you w/NCL but there will be plenty of others here that will be able to. keep in mind, it's all what you make of it.
