Harry, this goes to show that with increased practice you get better. Now you are just going to have to redo all the early drawings......

I have drawn quite a few again, just so that they are better.

I don't draw as much as I used to. Before it was for fun. Now I only really draw a ship if I have a reason, such as to send it off to the company or to present it aboard.

I have plenty I could be drawing, ready for presentations, but by the time came, they would look old, so I'm leaving it until nearer the time!

So glad to hear you're doing well at college. Trying to keep on top of your career and goings-on while on FB and here.

Been dealing with some health issues. Allergies or a cold that won't go away. Next week I see my doctor so hoping I'm better by then or the tests he'll order won't find anything bad. Tomorrow I take my girl to her annual. She's dealing with a psycho Spanish teacher (she's not the only student saying this). She went uber-psycho the other week when she couldn't find her wallet and is claiming a student took it. But she's making all the kids miserable including those (like my daughter) who didn't have her class that day. If she can get through this semester, she's switching to a virtual program at another school (unless something goes wrong) so she can do a lot of her work on our home computer if she gets sick (with her allergies, etc.). If she wants to be in the marching band, though, she'll have to take it on the campus and be there four times a week at 6:55am! As well as afternoon rehearsals.

She has a friend who's been doing this program for two years and really likes it -- she's close to genius so it's probably best for her. Hopefully it will work out for my daughter that she can go at her own pace. She has to complete assignments before moving to the next one so that will be good (she's currently taking Geometry B in a night class on an independent study basis and she seems to prefer this than sitting in a class). She can still be in noon clubs and she already knows tons of kids who are on the regular campus. Plus, she can use the computer in the virtual rooms if ours is on the blink.

And it could make an early June vacation for 2013 possible.

I did make every effort to meet with the Captain on Spirit to hand deliver your drawing. It seemed that every time we had a meet set up things happened and we had to reset. I did get the drawing and letters to the head purser that assured me they would be hand delivered to the Captain for his attention. I certainly hope that he replied to you.

    Great news!

I recently wrote to the CEO of the Port of Felixstowe, which is the LARGEST container port in the UK, to ask if my parents and I could visit the port.

It is only around 20-30 miles from Colchester and I've often visited the area in the past to see the ships docked. You may remember last April I visited Emma Maersk the world's largest container ship there.

Anyway, they have been very kind and have agreed to welcome my parents and I to visit the Port of Felixstowe on February 28th 2012.

More information about the Port of Felixstowe can be found on my blog for anymore who is interested in shipping rather than cruises!

Thanks Reggie. I understand that it can sometimes be difficult. However in your email previously you told me you were able to deliver it to the Captain.

So what happened? I hope you can explain.

Patty, are you feeling better yet?

I hope you sort out your daughter's teacher. It must be really annoying and I guess prevents her from learning at times.

    Thank you Anneli.

I'm sure you have heard or read about Maersk Line's Triple E-Class ships which will be the biggest in the world. They will be calling at Felixstowe in 2013!
