That will be us in three years...or even less. My 11-yr-old says that many in sixth grade are pairing up already.
I think it's interesting to have a family suite or two on this ship. Often I'll hear from someone who has three or more kids, and they will assume they won't be able to cruise with the whole family because it would cost too much. Many of the cruiseships have cabins that will fit up to 4. So they would need at least two cabins. I believe Disney has some bigger cabins, but their cruises are often a lot more than RC or Carnival, which are considered family-friendly. (and just remember they have to pay for airfare too if the embarkation city is not near where they live)

    Very nice work Harry.
Are you working on deck by deck drawings for the ship?
If so I assume it would be cabin and public room layouts.
It really is a big undertaking and I wish you well.
Are you looking for a career is design or engineering?

With that many cabins overall and family friendly by necessity, I would suggest a fair number of family suites and adjoining cabins.

    Thank you

I have worked on one set of deck plans for all 15 passenger decks on board Verona. But at the moment I am just waiting a while before I started the actual General Arrangement for Verona, there is a lot to think about.... staterooms, restaurants, storage, fuel tanks, lift columns, and a lot lot more But I sure I will get it all sorted very soon.
My ultimate dream is to become the world's best Naval Architect and design some of the best cruise ships in the world. I hope that one day I might have the chance to design the next great transatlantic liner after the QM2.

    Harry,

I wanted to pop in on your Introduction and say "hello". My name is Tim and I
help manage and operate Cruise Line Fans. You have created quite a stir here and I just had to congratulate you on all your hard work, as well as thank you for participating here at CLF.

I love to see young people take initiative and pursue their dreams and challenges with such fervor. Please continue to share your progress with us.

I wanted to give you my personal email: tim.willoughby at gmail dot com. I would like to stay in direct contact with you as we are about to launch a new site and we are interested to hear what young people, such as yourself, have to say about our new design, as well as hear suggestions about how we might make it better.

I also have a number of personal contacts within the admiralty and shipping worlds, including surveyors, attorneys, engineers, and business people. It seems you have developed quite the interest and contact list within some of these industries, as well.

Drop me a line, continue to enjoy Cruise Line Fans, keep up the great work you are doing, and don't let anyone tell you you can't do something.

    You can.

    Cheers, Harry. And thank you.
    tim
