One thing I forget to put on the letter was to ask him to blow the horn as he passes Calshot were we will be watch Queen Mary 2 sail from.

I'll have to print off another copy. I always love to hear the horns of ships and the Queen Mary 2's is by far the best!

I'm just adding a little bit onto the letter. Where we are staying, who with and that we shall be watching the QM2 sail from Calshot. I've ask him to blow the horn and I'm even thinking about making a banner!

You have to think big in this world otherwise you don't get anywhere!

That is so true, Harry! I'm glad you are not afraid to think big!

Now, don't be disappointed if the Captain doesn't blow the horn for you----Stephen might not have had to opportunity to give it to the Captain, and if he did, the Captain might not have had time to read your letter before sailaway.

I HOPE he does, though!

Yes you are right Char.

But we shall have to put for the best. 9 times out of 10 the captains blow the horn past Calshot.

I've got the banner made anyway. It reads... HI CAPTAIN BATES, HOPE YOU LIKED THE DRAWING!

If he doesn't read the letter before, for what ever reason and he does happen to see us, he will know later what it was all about!

The banner is still rolled out on my mum and dad's bed. I'm waiting for the glue to dry, because that's all we want to get there and it's glued together!

Hopefully he will see it. We can sometimes see people on the bridge with our binoculars. So if he uses his he should see us.

There is a photo here of the QM2 passing Calshot, just to show you how far away we will be, or how close depending on how you look at it.

I've been over to present a talk before, but that was with my freind Ryan and to year 2. They found it very exciting and had so many questions to ask. Year 6 should be better, they will understand and have a better knowledge than the younger ones.
