Yesturday I went to the beach with a friend of mine. The we met up with my parents once we got down there. Had quite a good time together.

Mum even got in the water which makes a change for her, even pushed me about in my boat! Or shall I say Queen Mary 3?

The plan was to spend a few hours on the beach then come home and leave for Harwich in the afternoon. Jewel of the Seas was in and also one of the world's largest container ships, the Estelle Maersk! We saw her sail out at sea and finally sail in from the beach, was a long way away though.

The only bad thing was we all got real bad sun burn and when I say bad I mean bad. We are all bright red, it hurts just sitting here now!

Here are some photo of the unbelievably large Estelle Maersk!

At an incredible 397.7 metres long she is one heck of a vessel. Just imagine a cruise ship that size!

As soon as my friend and I got off of the train we could see her on the horizon.

She slowly made her way in, before going out of sight around the corner were she docks in the Port of Felixstowe.

I'm happy to hear that you are having a good time going to the beach and hanging out with your friends. Sounds like you mum was getting into the beach fun, too!

Hi Char!

It is pretty painful but I'm hanging on in, been asleep for the last 3 or 4 hours. Hurts just moving!

We all had a wonderful time at the beach, some photos soon....

Harry, put some white vinegar on the sunburn. It pulls out the sting and the fire. Yes, I know it sounds crazy but it works.

Great minds think alike ... I was just going to suggest the same thing.

Another product that will help take the heat out is Noxzema cream. Your mom may have that. Ice helps too.

The photos were great. So nice that your mom and dad joined in the fun.

Some very excellent shots of her Harry. I might not be on next week, as I am going to Nova Scotia to see Maasdam and Carnival Triumph! I am going to miss seeing the QM2 by only 3 days!

Sounds like you have a great time planned!

I was starting to wonder when you were going to see Maasdam, I remember you telling me quite a while back now. You kept the Carnival Triumph quite though!!!

Will you be getting any photos?
