Smile Greetings from the Buckeye State

We are traveling in June/09 on the Cranival Destiny. I do not see much about this particular route (GrandTurk, Half Moon Cay, Nassau). We will be traveling with 19 yr old twins and a 21 yr old (all girls). We are concerned about keeping them busy since there does not seem to be activites geared towards that age bracket on ship. Any help alleving our fears on that would be appreciated. Also looking at excursions in those ports of call that would leave time for sunbathing and a little shopping would be great.

Hey bibbitybop! Welcome to our friendly cruise community!

I was looking at your itinerary:
Eastern Caribbean: Miami, FL ; Fun Day At Sea ; Grand Turk ; Half Moon Cay, Bahamas ; Nassau, Bahamas ; Miami, FL

You will be in Grand Turk only part of the day, 7am till 2:30pm. Not sure what Carnival is offering for shorex there, but it's my understanding that that would be a good beach day.

Half Moon Cay is their private island, so the whole day is a beach day!

Nassau will be a full day, so you would have time to do a little bit of everything there.

I suggest that you go post some questions over on the Carnival forum for answers from those folks who sail that line. I know we have a member who got back from the Destiny who could give you some info about the ship and the activities. Here is the link--> Carnival Cruise Line.

You can also check out our Cruise Places forum for your ports of call to see what other folks have done there. Link--> Cruise Places.

Holler if you need any help!

    Hi Bibbitybop! Welcome to CLF!

June is my favorite time of year to go to the Bahamas! The girls should have a great time on Carnival ... lots to do!

As Char suggested, please do check the Carnival Board here on CLF as well as Cruise Places.

    Welcome!

You might want to check our BAHAMAS forum for threads about Nassau and Half Moon Cay. Here's a link:

As for Grand Turk, you'll find that forum by following this link:

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

A bad day at sea is better than a good day at work.
