    New Cruiser...Costa Magica...March 28

Greets one and all...I am taking my first cruise on the Costa Magica on March 28th and I am really tickled! Three other friends are joining me for this trip. I have cruised the Nile (twice) and most of us live in the UK, so we are already used to the...hmmm..."buffet charge". lol All of us are American and we are really looking forward to it. If anyone has some tips for first timers on these big ships, I would greatly appreciate it!

Hey Jenalib Welcome to our friendly forum!

I've never cruised with Costa, but I imagine you will get a tip or two from others here.

Of course, with the time difference, this board is pretty quiet when you log on in the morning, but it picks up later.

Explore all of our "decks" and feel free to ask any questions.... we'll do our best to get the correct answers for you.

Welcome to CLF. I cruised the Eastern Caribbean on the Magica this past March. I've been on many big vessels, and the biggest tip I'll give you is be prepared for lengthy lines. The Magica carries well over 2,000 passengers. Also, do lots of walking, use the steps when you can instead of the elevators to burn those calories.
Go ahead and explore the forum, especialy the Costa thread, and please ask me any questions you may have before you embark on your cruise.

Hello Jenalib, our first cruise was so exciting and on a much smaller ship than our last one. Just ask away, there are lots of friendly, helpful folks on here. Last year we were on Emerald Princess which can hold up to 3,000 passengers and we never felt crowded. These big ships have lots of public places so folks can move around, hope you enjoy yourselves.
