Thread: Hi everybody...

Hello!!!

i am new to cruising, although i must admit that i have lost my cruisginity. and once you do it once, you have to do it again to see if that was real!! lol. i first cruised on the carnival imagination with my best friend and her family. that was only in dec. 07 and i am planning a cruise now for my family and friends for dec. 08. i know that is along time away, but we have family reunions already in the making and i don't want to interfere with any of that and give everyone the opportunity to prepare. i am really interested in cruising almost every year now. i dont know...its kinda like tatoos, they are addictive. this year i am looking at the fascination because 90% of the travelers are first timers. if anyone has any information that would be helpful in any planning or precautions, please let me know.

Planning for a cruise 11 months in advance is not really unusual...I have booked some almost 2 years out! You are wise to start your planning early for such a big undertaking.

Char is right that a year isn't a long time when it comes to planning a cruise. We booked our last cruise 13 months ahead as it was a holiday cruise, and those tend to fill up early due to demand. And that one, we didn't have other considerations as it was for just three of us, and we didn't need to book a hotel or flight.
