Introducing a crew member and his blog

    Hi guys,

Since we are just a few days away from starting our 114 day world cruise I thought I might do a bit of blatant self promotion of my blog.

I am a staff member on the Amsterdam, a cashier in the casino, and I have been writing a blog of my experiences on board, both this contract and my last one. I write about both the ports that we visit and what it's like to work as a cashier on a cruise ship as well as a few insights into my somewhat disordered mind. A world cruise like this one should give me plenty to write about, both on and off the ship.

If you're interested in checking out the blog take a look at Planet Trekker Cruise Blog but be warned that I write it like it is and it's not a glossy tourist brochure view of where we go. This is all my own opinions and as far as i know the company has never heard of the blog.

I'll try and answer any questions as best I can in the constraints of time and internet access as well as posting photos in the gallery.

Hopefully it's going to be a hell of a cruise.

    Greg

    Hey Greg

I read a little of your blog. You certainly have writing skills--painting word pictures.

Good luck on the rest of your journey

have brought up your blog in another window and will be checking it out. I hope you can check in here (maybe set up a "Live from" thread in "cruising topics") from time to time, as I'm sure many of us will have questions about your cruise.

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

A bad day at sea is better than a good day at work.
