Thread: Intrducing - A New Member

Talk about being new.... I'm so green I would be better off as a frog.

I have been on one cruise many years ago with my daughter (2001). We did the mother / daughter bonding trip. The time together was wonderful but we took the wrong ship for us, a Carnival.

My husband and I are taking a long 8 week trip to China and southeast Asia . We are catching the Sapphire Princess on November 2, 2007 out of Beijing to Bangkok. So, I am really counting this our (my) first cruise.

We leave this Wednesday morning. The bags are packed and waithing by the front door. We fly directly to Hong Kong to spend 4 days. Ladies know this is a shoppers heaven. I will have to pace myself here.

We will also be land touring China, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. I have arranged all the travel and only doing private tours. Never liked the idea of being in a bus with 40 other people and keeping the time of the tour guide. We prefer freedom, choices and doing our own thing. I have been working on this trip for 2 years.

So when we return, if anyone has questions of China, or southeast Asia I might be able to help out there.
