    Sue, welcome aboard!
I think you will find the boards a bit slow for the next couple of days. It seems there is a holiday about. So if no one answers, have patience.

I'm looking forward to your answers too as I really want to do Hawaii soon.

Welcome to CLF, the friendliest cruise forum on the internet!

I'm sure our folks will have some answers for you. As Hanna said, things will be a bit slow because of the Christmas and New Years holidays, but will pick up again soon.

In the meantime, explore Cruise Places and check out Hawaii for what has already been discussed here.

Two years ago exactly (sigh) I was on the 15-day roundtrip to Hawaii on the Island Princess. I tracked down my trip report that you can read and get a good idea on what a Hawaiian cruise on Princess is like (just click on the link below

    http://www.cruiselinefans.com/trip-r...-1-6-06-a.html

It's a great cruise for experienced cruisers who love sea days (like my family). Just make sure anyone in your group who may tend to get seasick brings along some remedies as you will cross the California Current, which often causes rough seas the first couple of days. I took ginger Altoids and candied ginger when I started feeling woozy. Hubby and the little one never get seasick.

Princess has plenty of activities on sea days and has many excursions to select from if you want. You can check out these excursions ahead of time on princess.com (look up your cruise and click on shore excursions). You probably won't be able to book them until 120 or less days prior (we couldn't until about 70 days prior).

Please feel free to start up a roll call in the Diamond Princess roll call section. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in your roll call and hopefully I'll see them there.

Try the Hawaii ports of call thread for some info too. Some of us have been there several times and can certainly tell you what not to miss. If you plan to see things on your own, I highly recommend renting a car.

Welcome aboard, Sue. There are a few members who have done a 15 day Hawaii cruise, so you will get a lot of info from them. You may want to check out the Cruise Reviews thread or the Trip Reports thread, see links below.
Merry Christmas & enjoy the forum.
