    Smile Greetings from Edinburgh

Hi, CLF my name is Nikki and I live in Edinburgh, Scotland (very cold but beautiful city). I will be going on my FIRST cruise on 23 Decemberthe Carnival Legend. My husband Alan and daughter Jade(18) will be with me. I am celebrating a special birthday the day after Christmas (40th) and have always said I wanted to spend it on a beach in the Carribean. We were due to dock at Costa Maya that day but Dean has spoiled that! I shall now just wait and see where we end up, hopefully Roatan as this sounds equally nice and much nicer than Depreso I mean Progreso!

Any way as a virgin cruiser I have lots of questions to ask the more experienced members of this forum. I am also an obsessive planner so I wish to have my itinery mapped out before I go.

As a family we spend our vacations in Florida every year a little place called Manasota Key so I am having a week there before I cruise - what Fun!!!
Any way a big hiya to all of you!!
    Nikki

Hey Nikki! Here is my "official" welcome!

Glad you introduced yourself and told us a bit about your cruise plans. I know you will really enjoy the experience and perhaps get bitten by the cruise bug as we have.

Our cruise board is fairly new in terms of how long we have been established, but our members are the best... and quite friendly and willing to share!

Explore all the Decks here to see what is available and holler if you need any help.

    Welcome to CLF, Nikki!

I know you'll enjoy that first cruise! I still remember my first one vividly, and how exciting it was to discover a new, and very special way to see new places.

As for THIS new place, here's a link to a post that will point out some of the features here we hope you'll enjoy, too!

Welcome aboard, and remember there is no such thing as an obsessive cruiser.

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

    Welcome to a fellow Scot

    Nikki

I have to admit to being a CIC (computer illiterate cruiser) so forgive me if I have already posted a welcome - at my age I do suffer from "craft" moments!

I also post on other sites but this is the friendliest I have found so far - others have been going for longer but they can have "problems" in the way they treat people's comments and then ban them for ever and ever - if this is an inappropriate comment please accept my apologies.

Keep in touch with this site I am sure you will love it.

Be sure to ask all the questions you have about cruising, Carnival and the ports you're going to. We have many cruising vets ready to hope (and some of us, like me, are compulsive planners).
