The place Werner Von Braun called home and started the whole shebang, Huntsville, AL., where you'll find the Marshall Space Flight Center-training ground for all astronauts, and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. If you have never been it is well worth a day trip or two. There is a Space Shuttle, a Saturn V (currently being installed in its own building) a lunar module, and tons of other space and flight related artifacts at a museum that also has a great I-Max theater. Ahaa. I am still trying to make my way to the Johnson Space center in Houston every time I go down there, but something always seems to come up.
