    Michigan Newbie Here

    Hi all,

    I am taking my very first cruise (balcony stateroom) on May 12 aboard the Carnival Glory. This has been a long time coming. It is a reward to myself for achieving several life goals (losing weight, quitting smoking, and going back to college at age 40). I am so excited that I can hardly stand it.

    Anyone from SE Michigan?

    Congratulations smoking weight at same time-difficult t do>I also recently quit smoking-did not have weight problem before-but have gained a few pounds since quitting.
    We moved last fall frm south lyon michigan to albany new york..Spent nearly 60 years in MIchigan-so tis is a a change.
    We have done about 40 cruises-so enjoy your cruise--every miniute..Any questions contact me
