Hi everyone
My name is Tobie Gerbrandt. My wife, Barb, and I live on Vancouver Island, Canada.
We started cruising in 1984 on our "Once in a lifetime!" cruise on the Carnival Tropicale. Since then we have cruised almost every year, and, since I retired in 1999 we have done 3 to 4 cruises a year. At present we have done, if IIRC 36 cruises on all the mainline cruise companies, and a few lesser known companies. We presently have 5 more cruises booked.
I was a milkman for 26 years before retiring. We own a modest house, with the mortgage paid off, so you can probably see that you don't have to be rich to cruise often. Neither of us smoke, and we drink quite sparingly. We have three children, 4 Grandchildren, and one Great Grandaughter.
We got hooked on group cruising when we discovered the GGCs (Great Group Cruises) on the rec travel criusing newsgroup, and have met many great people with whom we cruise often.
