    Newbie Cruiser

    Hi all! I just booked my first cruise, on a whim Thursday after callling my hubby at work and saying "Honey, I need a vacation, lets book a cruise!" I'm going on the Carnival Holiday in Dec 05! I've read mixed reviews about the old ship, but since its my first time, I'll be glad to be a smaller one. I'm sooo excited!

    I think your second day out you will be planning your second cruise. I have only been on 8 to date. Planning #9 for this fall. I have cruised with Carnival twice in the past year (Holiday and Elation), they do not compare to the other cruises I have been on in the food and entertainment areas, but were still enjoyable. Considering the price it is a good value. Am thinking of trying the Holiday again, mainly since the port is only an hour away and prices are great. Maybe the food has improved some. The dining staff did go out of their way to find something good to eat. No one I talked with could eat the filet mignon, even the chef came to the table and tried, repeat TRIED, to cut mine, no luck. Got the talapia...wonderful.
