The biggest difference between Carnival and NCL is dinner seating. On NCL you do not have an assigned table or time, the call it Freestyle. I that is OK, then you then you should be happen with NCL.

Carnival does have a couple of itineraries leaving from NY during the summer. Legend does a Eastern Caribbean 8 night and Victory does the New England/Canada cruises.

Welcome to CLF!!

We're so glad you joined.

Personally, I like Carnival better than I like NCL. But I also think its important to try out something new. Remember, its a vacation. Some may be better than others, but all vacations beat being at work!

Welcome! Pull up a chair and stay a while!

GREAT NEWS! Princess's newest ship the Crown Princess will be calling NY home as of June 14! From June to Oct she will be sailing from NY. Then she will be calling San Juan home for the Winter season (until May next year) then she will be back in NY.

Hi stefyb!!!

I am new here too. I can tell you that I love cruising and thats why at this moment I have 22 cruises with me and hoping more to come. I love cruising but not Carnival, sorry. Try others like Celebrity, RCCL, Princess, etc.
