Thumbs up cruiser from across the "pond"

    Hello there everybody,

My wife Lynda and I (Dave), live in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. Harrogate is a lovely Spa town approx 220 miles north of London, roughly in the north centre of our small Island!!

We have been on 2 previous cruses to the E and W Caribbean with Carnival Sensation and Pride and are looking not too far forward to the 5th June 05 to crusing Alaska with RCI on Serenade of the Seas.

All the best Lyn & Dave

    Dave and Lynda,

Interesting from an it's a small world point of view.

Our son was stationed in Harrogate '88 - '91 while he was in the U.S. Navy. For our 25th Anniversary in 1990 he flew us over for a two week visit. We loved Harrogate and the Yorkshire area . . . which is absolutely beautiful country. He had an apartment in Harrogate itself . . . . not sure exactly what area, but there was a Fish and Chip shoppe right out his door. Easy walk to a couple of nice pubs. We did a lot of local travel in Yorkshire and took a 4 day trip to Scotland. It was one of the best vacations we ever had and we would like to get back someday.

Welcome to our little section of cyberspace and enjoy your upcoming Alaskan cruise.

Lyn and Dave, welcome!! You must be incredibly excited to have a cruise coming up this week. Well, please try to post your impressions of your cruise and the SHIP when you return. Those of us who are on the Serenade later this year are anxious to know what you think.

    Have a wonderful time!

DHa nd I have sailed on the Radiance of the Seas, which is a sister ship to the Serenade of the Seas. We loved the Radiance... a real beauty she is!

I am sure we will enjoy the Souther Caribbean on the Serenade in November. (After MC helps bring her through the canal in October)

I am also looking forward to hearing your comments on this ship when you return.

    Have a wonderful cruise!
