    Our Dirty Little Secret

Hi! We stumbled accross this board by accident and decided to join. Cruising is one of our passions (we try to go at least once a year) and never get tired of reading about others' experiences. We've sailled on HAL, RCI, and NCL. and loved them all. But our "dirtly little secret" is that we keep coming back to Carnival. I know it has the reputation of being the Wall*Mart of cruising, and that there's probably a 12 Step Program somewhere for people like us, but we just like the laid back atmosphere.

Hope we're still allowed to post here after having admitted that.

We are organizing a family cruie in July on the Inspiration, then considering one for just the two of us and will probably try Celebrity or Princess, as we've heard good things about both lines.

    Again, thanks for having us.

Hi Bob and Gay!! Welcome to CLF!!! Of course you are welcome here!! And I don't think that any cruiseline is a walmart!! Cruising is awesome just to be on a ship!! You will find several cruisers here that love Carnival. We are a friendly group here, no nasties!! Really glad you joined us!!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Welcome...I enjoyed the 2 Carnival cruises that we were on...so nothing bad coming from me. I almost booked the Valor for our trip in April 2006...I was told only 4 to a cabin! So I went with RCL...

Welcome, sit back and have fun!

We've been on 2 Carnival cruises and I think their entertainment is the best of any ship we've been on and who can beat their prices??? My biggest complaint with Carnival and it applies to RCCL too is the disaster they call DISEMBARKING. :thumbsdow If only they could fix it so the process was less like a cattle call and more civilized!

Have never been on Carnival and to be honest that Wal Mart reputation has probably kept us from trying them.....

But would NEVER run down a cruiseline I have never experienced. Hopefully we will try them and see for ourselves.

    new cruiser to carnival

    Hi,
I'm new to the boards as well. Heavens I'm new to cruising. We (family of 4) are cruising on the carnival Miracle July 24 to the western carib. Would love to share all the rest of your dirty little secrets... like everything you know about carnival, any information on booking your own excursion outside the ship we are trying to be brave and do it the first time out of the gate.
