I was thinking the same thing. I have no idea what will happen if my husband can't step foot in one that long.
Ally/PagodaSwan said that happened on her cruise last Xmas.

There was a law passed on the 20th December 2005, two days into my cruise, that the Chilean government removed foreign flagged vessels permission to operate a casino in their territorial waters. Just as Hawaii has done.
It didn't go down well with alot of the passengers but there is nothing you can do about it, the Chileans can say what can and cannot be done in their territory, the cruise lines cannot fight it. I know NCL did try due to the cruise being underway when the law came in but they did not get any special permission and that was checked too by the ship's pilot from Chile who remains on board for the entire journey through their waters.

My cruise on NCL Crown is reviewed here...
http://www.cruiselineforums.com/foru...rown+christmas
It has photos and details of entry/exit fees to Argentina and Chile plus a definate 'do not forget to take jumpers and cold remedies' as the temperatures went from over 90 to under 30 to back over 90 again, and after long flights it plays havoc with your immune system.
Thanks PagodaSwan
Your review is just what I need to get myself more psyched up for the cruise. I'm printing it so I can take it home and share with my fellow cruisers.
They laugh at me for being on these "cruise boards", but now that I've saved them $200/pp plus the $150 discount per cabin, they are loving me![]()

I'm sure that you will enjoy your trip. Hopefully the weather will be as good as it was for me and that you will get to see as much as I did. Just make sure that you take warm jumpers and rain gear with you as the weather is very unpredictable. We broke a world record when we were in the Falklands, we anchored in the inner harbour, the largest ship ever to have managed that, we had 4ft under the keel. It was also the hottest day in a decade there too at over 90 degrees.
Its a fantastic trip with amazing scenery and wildlife.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask cos although you are on a different ship, I am sure there will be things you might want to know about where you are visiting etc.
Just in case ANYONE else is going (HELLLLLLO)....the CC cabins dropped $400 pp yesterday. They are cheaper than the 2B & 2A..........don't miss out!!!

My cabin price dropped another $150 pp yesterday! Make sure you check the latest prices!

Laurie, you must be living right!!!! It is unheard of for a holiday cruise to drop in price, and you had it happen 2x!!!
My cruise weeks later is NOT dropping. It isn't going up, so I guess there is hope, but I suspect I will not be as blessed as you are.
Be sure you get your airfare booked SOON. That will NOT be dropping, and since you will be travelling at the holidays, it could be difficult to get a good fare. That may be why Celebrity is being so generous.
Congratulations!![]()
