    You don't often hear about hurricanes near the Azores, since most do not go this far north, but they do happen. I have found records of 9 other storms that have reached there:
    1973 Hurricane Fran
    1976 Hurricane Emmy
    1992 Hurricane Bonnie

    2003 Tropical Storm Ana
    2005 Azores subtropical storm
