    was located near latitude 13.4 north...longitude 96.5 west. The
    depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 5 mph...7
    km/h...and this general motion with some increase in forward
    speed is expected during the next couple of days.

    Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph...55 km/h...with higher
    gusts. Strengthening is expected during the next 48 hours and
    the depression is forecast to become a tropical storm later today.

    located near latitude 14.2 north...longitude 96.9 west. Hilary is
    moving toward the northwest near 6 mph...9 km/h. A turn to the
    west-northwest with an increase in forward speed is expected during
    the next couple of days. On the forecast track...the center of
    hilary is expected to parallel the coast of southern mexico. Some
    rain bands with gusty winds are already affecting a portion of the
    southern coast of mexico.

    Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph...80 km/h...
    With higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast...and hilary could
    become a hurricane by thursday night.

    Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 50 miles...85 km
    from the center.

    general motion is expected to continue during the next 24 to 48
    hours. On the forecast track the core of hilary will continue to
    move parallel to the southwest coast of mexico...but any deviation
    to the north of the track could bring stronger winds to the coast.

    Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph...110 km/h...with higher
    gusts. Additional strengthening is expected during the next 48
    hours. Hilary is forecast to become a hurricane today and could
    become a major hurricane by saturday.

    Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 85 miles...140 km
    from the center.

    Estimated minimum central pressure is 991 mb...29.26 inches.

    move parallel to the southwest coast of mexico...but any deviation
    to the north of the track could bring stronger winds to the coast.

    gusts. Hilary is a category one hurricane on the saffir-simpson
    hurricane wind scale. Additional strengthening is expected during
    the next 48 hours...and hilary could become a major hurricane by
    friday night.
