    forecast track...the center of katia will continue to move between
    the east coast of the united states and bermuda through today.

    Maximum sustained winds are near 90 mph...150 km/h...with higher
    gusts. Katia is a category one hurricane on the saffir-simpson
    hurricane wind scale. Little change in strength is forecast during
    the next couple of days.

    Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles...150 km...from
    the center...and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 230
    miles...370 km. A noaa data buoy located about 40 miles east of the
    center recently reported a sustained wind of 87 mph...141 km/h...
    With a gust to 107 mph...172 km/h.

    From the Eurodam:

    Our Captain has been following this storm carefully in case it started approaching our path down the eastern seaboard. It was never stated, but there was a chance that our ship would have had to change course, and with the cruise near it's end, that would have been difficult for those with flights out of NY.

    Now checking all the storms headed for the Gulf!

    NATE is in the Gulf now ... way done in the Bay of Campeche... NOT projected to come help out Texas with any moisture at this point, unfortunately
