Getting close, are you ready??
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Pretty much, I guess.
Hurricane shutters are all stacked in the garage, ready to put up at a moment's notice.
Need a new weather radio AGAIN, though. We really do have a bad record with them. Haad to buy new one last two years, and need one again.
Really should check our battery drawer and see if we are low on any sizes.
Day aftr Memorial Day is our normal day to start saving and filling gallon milk jugs with water for non drinking water neds. (Face washing, flushing, dish washing, etc.)
Othere than that, we are good for extra canned good, flashlights, lanterns, etc. Will pick up extra case of bottled drnking water when first system starts developing, as usual.
What about you?
We only have one blue tarp, though. should probably pick up another just in case.
We are ready, we have a midland public alert noaa radio. What we do for water if a storm is coming, we fill three new trash barrels full in the house. One for cooking and drinking, one for washing up, and one for dirty water, whatever we use it for. and we get at least 2 propane tanks for the grill to cook on and make coffee

You have a lot more people than we do, though,. You need Big containers. We use the gallon milk jugs, and store some in each bathroom for flushing and washing, the rest in theh kitchen and garage. Easy to handle, and they are where they are needed.
I used to always fill the bathtub... but now, I keep that empty, in case we are on the tornado side of the storm.
Me too, I have a shower, no tub, son has tub and shower and it is the safe room, no wondows, and he has a solid wood sliding door between bedroom and bath. Tight fit for all but we have everything in there if needed, Even a set of jeans, sweatshirt, sneakers and gloves for all and an axe if we have to dig ourselves out.
