for the north atlantic...caribbean sea and the gulf of mexico...

The national hurricane center is issuing advisories on major
hurricane paloma...located over the southeastern coast of cuba near
santa cruz del sur.

An area of showers and thunderstorms has developed in association
with a non-tropical low pressure system located about 700 miles
southwest of the azores islands. Environmental conditions appear
somewhat favorable for development of a subtropical cyclone during
the next day or two if thunderstorm activity persists near the low
pressure center.

Elsewhere...tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the
next 48 hours.

paloma...located inland over cuba about 25 miles southeast of
camaguey.

Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with a non-tropical low
pressure system located about 675 miles southwest of the azores has
diminished over the past several hours. Environmental conditions
are marginally favorable for some development of this system before
upper level winds increase in couple of days.

Elsewhere...tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the
next 48 hours.

camaguey cuba.

Showers and thunderstorms associated with the non-tropical low
pressure system located about 650 miles southwest of the azores
have diminished. Development of this system...if any...will be
slow to occur.

next 48 hours.
