For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude..
An area of low pressure...the remnants of karina...is located about325 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.Regeneration of this system is not expected as it drifts slowlytoward the west or northwest.
Elsewhere...tropical cyclone formation is not expected during thenext 48 hours.
