Add this question to that list: Why does hurricane season end on November 30? If it must be 80 degrees for a hurricane to form, it is impossible for a hurricane to form in November because then, temperatures are never that high on the Atlantic coast or the Gulf of Mexico. It is not summer in the southern hemisphere until after most people are done Christmas shopping.
