For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...


The broad area of low pressure over the western Gulf of Mexico hasmoved inland over southeastern Texas. The low is expected to moverapidly northward and become absorbed by a strong mid-latitudestorm system over the central United States.
The small area of low pressure near the east-central coast ofFlorida is moving slowly northward...with the associated showeractivity mainly over water to the east of the center. Upper-levelwinds are forecast to be unfavorable for development as this systemmoves northward to north-northeastward over the next day or two.
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
