    Money Saving Tip #7...

If your traveling to St Maartin, did you know that you can walk into Philipsburg in 15-17 minutes? The water taxi cost $5.00 each, round trip, but you still have to walk 200 yards and wait sometimes 15 minutes or more for it to arrive, unload and reload to take the 8 minute ride into town. Same coming back.. Instead you can walk through the Welcome Center, out the front gate, turn left and in minutes be in town with $10.-$25.00 more spending money in your pocket... Also, walk a little bit. Things keep getting cheaper, the farther down Main St. you walk....

I agree, Debbie. I always take the water taxi. If nothing else, I consider it a cheap excursion!
