Question Free Alcoholic Beverages on Royal Caribbean

I was wondering if anyone can tell me when/where the free alcoholic beverages are on the cruise. I did not realize until too late on my last cruise that the drinks at the Captain's Reception were free... (Royal Caribbean)

Someone else told me that the 'Welcome Aboard" drinks are also free. Obviously, not knowing this, I walked right by them when getting on the ship.

I am not a big drinker but a freebie now and then makes me a little more relaxed!

The repeaters party is another opportunity for complementary cocktails.

I remember on my first couple of cruises, there would be a free drink on the first night. Haven't seen that since.

Because of migraines, I usually have to avoid alcoholic drinks, but I've found that the freebie drinks tend to be watered down and safe for me to drink. But I did have to nearly tackle a server during the captain's party on my last cruise as the servers were going by and stopping for some people to offer a drink. Don't know what it was about me, so when someone was getting a drink off a tray, I quickly pointed to a glass, and asked what it was. When the server replied, I grabbed the glass, and said thanks.

We also had the same problem during the Captain's circle party (for repeat cruisers on Princess) this last cruise. We got there late (even though early enough to get greeted by the captain) and sat down on the side. The waiters didn't come over. When one server was giving some drinks on the other side of the closest couch, we did manage to catch his eye and he did bring his tray to us.

Didn't have that problem on at the previous CC party...had to start turning down drinks and canapes.

Nice thread travelmom, we will not be drinking much on-board because of prices, but a "freebe"now and then will be fun.

Another place for free drinks is the Concierge Lounge. You have to either sail in a suite or be Diamond/Pluss Crown and Anchor member to benefit tho.
