You can try to smuggle it onboard but if they catch you the bottle will be confiscated. You can ofcoruse purchase a bottle online at Royal Caribbean.

I have decided not to smuggle. I must be getting old. I thought I read somewhere that if you notify them ahead of an anniversary they would make an exception and allow one bottle of wine.

I have acually heard this too. The ship will keep the bottle for you and serve it at dinner time. I would suggest you contact your travel agent or Royal Caribbean directly and ask if this could be possible.

Our travel agent has them deliver a bottle of wine to our stateroom every year for our anniversary cruise free of charge.

Nver thought of this. We are sailing April 6 for the first time. Are there free drinks at any time?

No, not at any time. But you will get a free glass of bubbly at the welcome aboard party , the repeaters party, the art action and if you book a suite you get free drinks in the Concierge Lounge for a few hours in the evening.
