    Money Saving Tip #2...

Remember to take along your favorite over the counter medications (asprin, aleve, dramamine etc.) when you cruise.. A few ships still give out dramamine, but due to peoples reactions to different medications and the liability problems brought on by the law suit society we live in today, most have now stopped. You now have to buy them in one of the ships stores, which can be very costly. For example, a one day supply of dramamine, 'a 4 pack', can cost about $3.99 on the ship "I know." For a couple dollars more you can get a bottle of 100, at Walmart, or the like before you go.. This is true of most OTC medications, so a word to the wise is to take them with you.

I have a money saving question for you. My husband enjoys having a few beers every night, but beers are quite expensive onboard. Could we "pack" some of those plastic bottles of beer in our suitcase? Or would they be discovered and taken?

Yes, a few beers can be smuggled. Of course, I don't know from personal experience , just what I've heard.

Your generally safe taking things on board in your check in luggage, and on some lines even in your carry-on.. but I'd be safe and put it in my check in bags....

I would add to that some more advice....put the bottles in plastic ziplocks! A busted bottle can ruin a week's wardrobe...even plastic bottles! We had a six pack of bottled water (also very expensive on board!) and one of the bottles burst. Fortunately, it was only water and it was in a ziplock in a smaller bag....

Yes, many beers are available in 16 ounce plastic bottles.

Any particular beer? This would be good to know for when I do my pre-cruise shopping. But I will need some Listerine labels to put over the beer labels, so they don't confiscate it. "I always buy Listerine in six packs officer! I have terrible halitosis."
