Their children (bride & groom) were taking a the same cruise we were the next day. Guess what! Both sets of parents were going with them on their honeymoon cruise.
They said, "We feel better about going with them because they may get confused and not know what to do!"

Lulu, that is similar to what clients of mine are doing. Second marriage for the bride, first for the groom but they have arranged for a Group Honeymoon. They want as many of their friends and family as can, to join them on the cruise.
In answer to the topic of whether cruises are good for honeymooners. Yes, BUT, keep in mind that on many of the longer cruises in the Caribbean, the average age of the guests are much older than the average age on 7 nite cruises.
We sailed on a fabulous itinerary on the Celebrity Constellation in November 2008 to Panama and Costa Rica, etc. It left on a Monday- perfect for honeymoons! 11 nite cruise with 6 days at sea- again perfect for a relaxing honeymoon. Average age of the guests were probably around 65 and there were only about a dozen honeymoon couples on the ship.
Check with a travel agent for advise on which cruise line and which ship to take for your honeymoon cruise. Some might be better options than others.
