Thread: renewing vows

We will be cruising for our 35th wedding anniversary and are considering booking a marriage vow renewal service. Has anyone ever done this on the ship and what was your experience?

I have on Princess. It was awesome The Chapel was beautiful and perfect. It was done by the Captain. We had a card waiting in our cabin when we boarded. We had first seating traditional and it was at that time. We wanted to meet the waiters so I called and explained. I got a call right back and was told the Captain made a reservation for us in anytime at a later time so we stayed with it. I was given flowers, wore a white gown that I could not afford 40 years ago and we are still very much in love and have been though hell together to get where we are today. That ceremony reenforced our commitment and was very specia We recieved a picture taken with the captain, a lovely book, wedding memories, a bottle of champagne and two Princess glass wine goblets. Worth every penny

I have officiated at a ceremony on Carnival Spirit Nov. 2007. There were quite a few in my group booking that wanted to take part and I was happy to oblige. It was a very special and touching ceremony.
