Where to pop THE question?

Our son is planning to propose to his girlfriend on a cruise we are all going on next month. He asked us last night for suggestions on where the most romantic place on the ship would be to do this.

I would appreciate suggestions on this one!!!

Hmmmm....good question! If it were me, I'd love it if he proposed at dinnertime. Maybe had the waiter in on it and hide the ring to look like some dinner being served?

If more privacy is wanted, then perhaps on your balcony, (if they have a balcony cabin) with a romantic bottle of champagne delivered by room service and some chocolate covered strawberries!

I bet you are excited for him! My son is popping the question to his GF this coming NYE...in Paris. I raised a romantic.

Are they private and a little shy...or are they extroverted wild and fun loving?

I agree, at a formal dinner would be fun because there would be so many ways the waiter could help with the surprise. How fun would that be! Besides, they'd have a built in crowd to help celebrate and even people standing by ready to take photos. But if your son is shy or if the girl is easily embarrassed this could be unnerving in front of a crowd.

I think they are more pivate and shy types. At least when it comes to this. He's nervous, says he will have to practice a lot this next month.

The in room champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries is a great idea. They will have an ocean view room, no balcony. Or maybe a tucked away table in the Champagne Bar? That might work, the bartender could be in on it. Perhaps before dinner (late seating) on formal night?

Boy, the possibilities are endless!

A moonlight stroll on deck
Deliver the ring with dessert
Champagne and strawberrys in the room

I'm sure the ship's crew would be happy to help set up any scenario your son has in mind. Perhaps call the Customer/Special Services Department? I bet they would have some great ideas!

After Dinner (or before) at the very Aft of the ship under moonlight. or as far forward you can go and still be outside under the stars.

If y'all have a Chocolate Buffet talk to the Maitre'd and see if a special section can be made out for the ring to be placed on.

Set up a Scavenger Hunt for her and at the end will be your son down on a knee w/ the ring.

Does the ship that they are going on have a speciality restaurant? Maybe a nice dinner and pop the question over after dinner drinks there.

Front of the ship! Maybe the Captain could throw a spotlight on them when he does it!:
The bow is private at night with the lights from the ship lighting it up!

If it were for me, I would wish for the aft at the rail over the wake, after 10 p.m., quiet, most are partying, after a formal night. He could start it off by having red roses delivered to the table at dinner, with a card that just says I LOVE YOU. As the waiter brings them to the dining room, every woman there will be hoping it is for her!! After the proposal, back to a lounge for a couple of drinks, and the rest of the night belongs to them!!!:

My Signature Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
