    Yonnie,

I have been assured by my contact at HAL that the boarding problem will be looked into. When I emailed him about it he was on vacation but did reply. He just got off vacation this week.

I upgraded to a SB on our cruise so I will get a chance to check out the Neptune Lounge on Saturday.

Yonnie .... You and Joe cruised on lots of other cruise lines (including Cunard and Princess) for years when you first began cruising rather than land trips.

Now for many years, it's been HAL for you. Thing is ... there are always going to be some problems with any cruise line and HAL is the Devil You Know Best!

Since we cruised I have discovered another problem in Ft Lauderdale.

Some people are arriving around 10:30 -- the doors aren't opened that early -- so they have been escorted to the crew area back door to the terminal -- are allowed in through there -- get to check in early. Somehow they are bypassing security. I am still working on that issue.

One thing is settled -- we have arranged for wheel chair assistance for me to get on the ship and to get off the ship. Also have CareVacations delivering a Walker/Rollator to the cabin for me.

I e-mailed our 2 page letter (small print) some days ago to our TA who has gotten in touch with her representative in Seattle concerning several other issues that we encounted on the ship which were more serious than just our embarkation problems.

Have a great cruise on the Oosterdam. I hope you like the Neptune Lounge as much as we do for snacks.

And don't forget that you can also have breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill -- we love that!!

Even if we do decide to stay with HAL for at least one cruise a year -- we still have to find another cruise line as HAL is spending less and less time in North America and there are very few cruises that we can do.
