This is Lynette's bucket list. I would rather go on the Packer Player cruise, which this year on Celebrity, but it is at the same time. DO NOT want to spend that much time in the air.

Ah to be young -- have less stops between flights -- no health issues.

    Biy what we could do.

    It sounds so wonderful!!

Yonnie .... We met a couple (very nice people) on our recent cruise who were long time HAL cruisers but had decided to try other cruise lines. They felt HAL was no longer taking care of their long time cruisers and we much more focused on attracting new passengers. Any thoughts on that?

For the last couple of years -- especially since HAL got the Singnature ships - they have been marketing to get younger people on their ships.

Also since the majority of their past passengers are older and many of us can't take long flights any more and HAL is moving out of the North American markets -- I can see that HAL is no longer cares about us.

It is usually a very poor business plan to ignore your regulars figuring that they will stay around and go after new people. The cost of attracting a new person is actually significantly greater than the amount of effort to retain a current customer.

I voted Other because I don't really want to take a HAL cruise, but Princess ships sail to Hawaii out of Los Angeles and I want to sail from San Diego, where HAL is. My other option is Celebrity, but I like HAL's itinerary better. So I am currently on the fence about which cruise I should take for Circle Hawaii because as much as I hate HAL's smoking policy and leather couches in cabins I can't resist an overnight in Honolulu.

Almost true here. When I was little my mom dried my hair, so I tried to do it a few times. I was never able to completely dry the back. So a hair dryer in my hotel room is completely useless to me. I will never own one.

You know Neal was saying that to people who normally do use hair dryers, right?

To everyone who has sailed on the Zaandam and/or Oosterdam: Would you book a cruise on that ship again?

I can't get much information about the onboard activities and entertainment on HAL's website so I need to know what passengers say. All current ship descriptions (not "how it used to be" comments) would be very helpful, especially in the activities and entertainment areas.
