    Dessert Extravaganza - Daytime?

On all the cruises that we have been on, the once Chocolate Extravaganza - now called the Dessert Extravaganza - has always been held at night.

Would you like to see it moved to the day time?

NO. I think it is terrible they do this in the afternoon on some ships. From what I have read these afternoon deals are watered down versions of what the do at night.

Not in the daytime, but certainly before 10:30 at night. That's just too late to eat for many folks ... me included. (I know, earlier will interfere with the second shows, etc.)

Would like to see it after the second seating of dinner, as midnight is a horrible time to go to bed with a fully tummy.

If there is only a choice of afternoon and Late night then I vote for afternoon. I just wish they did not hold thme on the last Formal night day. I just do not like eating after 10 at night. We have been on a couple of cruises that they had them in the afternoon. I think they combined it with High Tea they were very nice.

I think Jim had the right idea to start it at say 9:00 and continue it till 10:30.

It was held about 2p on the Prinsendam World Tour. I think that was a pretty good time to hold it and it definitely was not a "watered down" version... sorry, no pictures... Grumpy was too busy eating to take pictures

I have nightmares because they are held so late at night!!

We don't stay up that so we haven't been to one in years.

And besides we don't like eact that late.

    We are early risers!!

Have been to both. Seems the Vista class ships do theirs in the afternoon.

    Both were great

On our Oosterdam sailing in Feb/Mar 2004 - the dessert extravaganza was held at night.

On the Westerdam Jan 2005 - at night.

I couldn't remember when it was on our Zuiderdam cruise this past May - and then I remembered - no dessert extravaganza - refrigeration problems.
