But even on a 7 day cruise -- the points/days will still add up quicker for the average person than they did years ago.

A person in the average cabin gets 7 points on a cruise -- the auto tip alone on a 7 day cruise is $70 - spend another $230 -- and bingo you have another point.

We got nothing extra years ago.

Basically, if you don't spend (much) the new numbers are about 4,10, and 25 cruises for the new levels.

A definite perk when you have a suite. Celebrity gives you similar double credit on a suite.

You're right, Earl. RC goes by how many cruises instead of how many days. It's one point percruise, but you get an extra point for cruises of 12 days or more, and/or and extra point for the JS and above.

HAL has always gone by how many days you sailed with them, and since they have so many long cruises, it makes sense for their line. They want to give more perks to someone who buys a 114-day world cruise versus someone who did a 7-day cruise.
